Right now, Ethereum users must hold ETH to pay for gas fees. But with Account Abstraction, users will be able to pay gas fees using stablecoins like USDC or other ERC-20 tokens.

🥩 Bigger Validator Staking Limits

Currently, you must stake 32 ETH to participate in securing the network.

After the Pectra Upgrade, the limit will increase to 2,048 ETH allowing large-scale validators to operate more efficiently.

🌳 Faster and More Efficient Data Handling

Ethereum will introduce Verkle Trees, a new way to store and verify data that will make transactions faster and lower cost.

Scheduled for March 2025.
