Wat een verschrikking is Halsema. In haar anti-Israël obsessie verzwijgt ze doelbewust de context en de feiten. Israël startte de oorlog van 1948 niet. Israël werd direct na de onafhankelijkheidsverklaring aangevallen door vijf Arabische landen. Ze wilden Israël direct van de kaart vegen.

Diezelfde oorlog zorgde ervoor dat zo’n 850.000 Joden halsoverkop moesten vluchten uit de Arabische wereld omdat ze hun leven niet meer zeker waren. Ze werden verdreven of vermoord. Een historisch feit dat Halsema volledig negeert.

Het vertrek van de Arabieren destijds was het directe gevolg van een oorlog die door de Arabische staten zelf was ontketend. Een aanzienlijk deel van hen vertrok op eigen initiatief of gaf gehoor aan de oproep van Arabische leiders om het oorlogsgebied tijdelijk te verlaten totdat de Joden zouden zijn verdreven en Israël zou zijn verslagen. De term 'Nakba' verwees oorspronkelijk dan ook naar de Arabische nederlaag in die zelfgekozen oorlog tegen het kleine Israël. Ze schaamden zich kapot. Dat was de 'ramp'.

Maar niets daarover van Halsema. Met deze selectieve geschiedvervalsing wakkert burgemeester Halsema antisemitisme in Amsterdam keihard aan. Ze zorgt ervoor dat Joden vogelvrij zijn. Niet meer veilig over straat kunnen. Met alle gevolgen van dien. Onacceptabel!

1️⃣Israel and Lebanon “have reached an understanding in which both nations will work to create conditions conducive to lasting peace between the two countries, full recognition of each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing genuine security along their shared border, while preserving Israel’s inherent right to self-defense.”

2️⃣“Both countries recognize the significant challenges faced by the Lebanese state from non-state armed groups” and “understand that those groups’ activities must be curtailed.”

3️⃣Israel and Lebanon “affirm that the two countries are not at war and commit to engaging in good-faith direct negotiations, facilitated by the United States, with the objective of achieving a comprehensive agreement that ensures lasting security, stability, and peace between the two countries.”

4️⃣Ten day “cessation of hostilities” to facilitate “good-faith negotiations toward a permanent security and peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon.”

5️⃣Ceasefire may be extended by mutual agreement if there is progress in negotiations “and as Lebanon effectively demonstrates its ability to assert its sovereignty.”
