*NARD SIGNS LANDMARK 3-YEAR MoU WITH NIPSS TO STRENGTHEN LEADERSHIP AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT*
Good evening distinguished NARDites,
The leadership of NARD ably led by *Strategic P-MUS,* has signed a landmark 3-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru.
The partnership is aimed at strengthening the capacity of NARD leaders and enhancing the Association’s contribution to healthcare policy and national development.
*Key highlights of the MoU include:*
- Three-year leadership development programme featuring a *week-long strategic leadership training for NARD NEC/NOC members annually.*
- Participation in the Policy, Leadership and Strategic Studies Course *(PSLC)* for at least 12 NARD members annually, with opportunities for more members to benefit.
- Promotion of evidence-based policy research, strategic engagement and healthcare advocacy.
- Opportunities for other healthcare professionals to benefit from relevant NIPSS leadership programmes.
- Strengthening collaboration between NARD and NIPSS through continuous dialogue, knowledge exchange and institutional partnership.
- Documentation and sharing of the successes and impact of the January 2026 NARD–NIPSS Strategic Leadership Training as part of the ongoing collaboration.
The MoU will run for three years and will be reviewed upon expiration to assess its impact and determine the next phase of the partnership.
This partnership represents another strategic step towards building stronger NARD leaders, improving policy engagement and positioning resident doctors to contribute meaningfully to healthcare reform and national development.
