राजस्थान के सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों में MBBS इंटर्न डॉक्टर्स की स्टाइपेंड में कई वर्षों से कोई वृद्धि नहीं की गई है, जबकि मरीजों की संख्या और कार्यभार लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है। मध्यम वर्ग के किसान परिवार से आये इंटर्न डॉक्टर दिन-रात अस्पतालों में स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं दे रहे हैं, लेकिन उनका पारिश्रमिक आज भी पुरानी दरों पर ही है।

दूसरी ओर, सरकारी हॉस्टल की फीस, जो पहले लगभग ₹5,000 हुआ करती थी, अब बढ़कर लगभग ₹60,000 तक पहुँच गई है। इसके साथ ही कॉलेज फीस एवं अन्य शैक्षणिक शुल्कों में भी लगातार वृद्धि हुई है। ऐसे में सीमित स्टाइपेंड पर कार्य कर रहे इंटर्न डॉक्टरों के लिए आवास, शिक्षा और दैनिक खर्चों का प्रबंधन करना अत्यंत कठिन होता जा रहा है।

राज्य सरकार से विनम्र आग्रह है कि इंटर्न डॉक्टरों की स्टाइपेंड की तत्काल समीक्षा कर उसे वर्तमान परिस्थितियों और महंगाई के अनुरूप बढ़ाया जाए। साथ ही हॉस्टल फीस एवं कॉलेज फीस के बढ़ते आर्थिक बोझ पर भी पुनर्विचार करते हुए उचित राहत प्रदान की जाए। यह केवल इंटर्न डॉक्टरों के हित का नहीं, बल्कि प्रदेश की स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था को और अधिक सुदृढ़ बनाने का भी प्रश्न है।

The seat matrix released by the regulator shows 1,27,028 renewed seats and 9,911 additional seats approved through new medical colleges and increased intake in existing institutions.
