[Yerevan Dialogue @YerevanDialogue]

We are delighted to announce the 3rd edition of #YerevanDialogue, hosted by the @MFAofArmenia!

🗓️ 5-6 May 2026 | 📍Yerevan

Under the theme ‘Riding Through the Storms’, this year’s Dialogue will convene leaders, politicians and experts to reflect on a rapidly evolving 🌏 #global landscape: the discussions will focus on how shifting power dynamics are reshaping international relations, testing existing #security frameworks while also opening new avenues for dialogue and cooperation.

Against a backdrop of #economic volatility and increasing competition, participants will consider how stronger regional linkages, improved #connectivity, and trade can 📉contribute to #stability and shared prosperity. In parallel, discussions will address the growing challenge of hybrid threats, noting that despite mounting pressures, democratic systems are forging partnerships for stronger resilience. The program will also explore the urgent need for sustainable approaches that respect and protect the natural environment, in line with global climate priorities, including those to be advanced at #COP17🌱.

💬🇦🇲 Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan: “In an era marked by geopolitical storms, dialogue and cooperation are essential to shaping sustainable solutions. While new challenges continue to emerge, they also open space for renewed shared commitment to peace, innovation and partnerships. We look forward to fostering fruitful discussions at #YerevanDialogue.”

⬇️The Panel discussions will be featuring the following topics:

🔹Beyond Geopolitical Divides
🔹Global Connectivity
🔹EU Enlargement and European Integration
🔹Democratic Resilience, Hybrid Threats and AI
🔹Green Transition
🔹Tech and Security Architecture

This year the event is being held in partnership with a number of leading organizations such as the @orfonline, @FundPulaskiego / @WarsawForum, the Centre for Analysis, @francediplo_EN, @BledStratForum, @ConcordiaSummit, and Delphi Economic Forum.

Today, we commemorate & pay tribute to the memory of the victims of the #ArmenianGenocide, perpetrated in the Ottoman Empire.

One & a half million men, women, children, & elderly people fell victim to the Mets Yeghern, were killed or consigned to death solely for being Armenian.

This atrocity committed against the Armenian people became one of the historical precedents that served as a basis for the adoption of the 1948 United Nations Convention on the Prevention & Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

Despite the efforts of the international community, in the 21st century, we continue to witness racial & ethnic intolerance, hatred, & new mass atrocities carried out on that basis. #Armenia feels a responsibility to remain continuously & consistently engaged in identifying the signs & early warning of such crimes, & to support initiatives aimed at their prevention and eradication.

Through Armenia’s efforts, December 9, 2015, was included оn the United Nations list of international days as the International Day of Commemoration & Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide & of the Prevention of this Crime. In 2025, at the plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly, the resolution entitled “The Decade of the International Day of Commemoration & Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide & of the Prevention of this Crime,” submitted by Armenia, was adopted by consensus. In March 2026, at the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the resolution “Prevention of Genocide,” also submitted by Armenia, was once again adopted by consensus.

Remembering the past & paying tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide, the Republic of Armenia is building its sovereign future guided by the peace agenda. The existence of good-neighborly relations & genuine cooperation among neighboring states is a minimum prerequisite for establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus & ensuring the peaceful coexistence of all peoples in our region.

In these days of remembrance of the victims of the 1988 #Sumgait massacres orchestrated by Azerbaijani SSR forces, we honor the memory of hundreds of Armenians who were killed. Around half a million were forcibly displaced.

🕯️Remembrance is not only about reflecting on the past. It is a reaffirmation of our shared responsibility to uphold human rights, reject hatred & hate speech in all its forms, while working steadfastly toward reconciliation & lasting peace.
