ASP, in coordination with the Baxter County & Marion County Sheriff’s Offices, arrested Michael Raymond Wamser Jr., 61, of Gamaliel, on April 27, following an investigation into child exploitation offenses. A pipe bomb was also discovered in the residence.

On April 28, former Swifton Police Officer Benjamin Drake Slagley, 31, of Swifton, was arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force on charges of sexual assault of a juvenile.
The arrest followed a request on April 19 by Jackson Co. SO for ASP CID to investigate.
