I wasn’t clear enough earlier, apologies. To confirm - while children should not normally be moving between households, we recognise that this may be necessary when children who are under 18 move between separated parents. This is permissible & has been made clear in the guidance
And now a different answer given on the BBC! Gove welcomes the chance to clarify himself: “I was not clear earlier and I’m grateful for opportunity to be clear now. It is the case that there can be that contact... those under 18 can see both parents”
The government guidance on staying at home includes a footnote to the “Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person” exemption to say “Where applicable, this includes moving children under 18 between their parents’ homes” https://t.co/h6sVxt23VZ
