It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Doreen Nsimiire Gonahasa, who served as the Program Coordinator, FETP Intermediate, Uganda National Institute of Public Health. Doreen passed away today, after battling cancer.
This morning, I met the Kingdom of Belgium Ambassador to Uganda H.E Hugues Chantry and the senior leaders of Enabel, their Development Agency. The discussion focused on how to make the " Wecare" Project under the new portfolio 2023-2027 effective.
Last night, I had the opportunity to meet a group of Ugandans working in Geneva. We discussed how they can give back to our communities, strengthen technical expertise & investment. It was great to hear & see how well they are doing professionally and supporting Ugandans at home.
Had a productive dialogue at the Ministerial consultations yesterday on Health Products Manufacturing in Africa organized by @AfricaCDC. In my remarks, I called for Regional manufacturing where each region manufacturers an item; this is to avoid duplication and competition.
