I never thought I’d have to post this.
My UAE residency was suddenly marked “Cancelled.”
No clear warning. No transparent explanation. Massive real-life consequences.
I’m an Iranian founder, but I don’t live in Iran, I’m not involved in politics, and for the last 3 years I’ve been building a real business in the UAE.
In that time, my company generated around $2M and contributed through jobs, spending, and economic activity.
Now, after the recent regional conflict, it feels like people are being judged by nationality instead of individual merit and legal record.
This is not just unfair — it is dangerous for business trust.
When legal residents and investors can be disrupted overnight, it sends a clear message to every founder and investor:
predictability is fragile, and your business may not be safe.
Collective punishment is not policy.
And this is not how you treat a community that has brought billions in investment.
If this happened to you or someone you know, speak up.
Please retweet so this is seen.

@meetshukla_@lucasmoscon__ Happy to test this for our apps. About to spin up new Meta Ads campaigns and haven’t tried AI UGC yet, always felt real UGC hits harder. But definitely worth testing
@andrewdsouza@boardyai We’re currently in the middle of a fundraising round for a high-potential product, and I’m open to exploring ways we can work together.
