We are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Western Sydney International Airport and the Australia Saudi Logistics Alliance (ASL Alliance), an initiative by our Chamber.

The ASL Alliance is a not-for-profit industry committee established to advocate for stronger freight and commercial connectivity between Australia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Bringing together government stakeholders, airports, airlines, freight operators, importers, exporters, and industry leaders, the Alliance is focused on supporting practical initiatives that enhance supply chain resilience, facilitate market access, and deepen bilateral economic ties between both nations.

This partnership marks an important step in building a more robust air corridor between Australia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia creating new opportunities for businesses, freight operators, and investors across both markets.

We would like to acknowledge the outstanding leadership of WSI CEO Mr. Simon Hickey and his team, whose vision for Western Sydney International Airport is helping position it as one of Australia’s most significant international gateways for commerce and economic growth. The Australia Saudi Loaistics Alliance (ASL Alliance), an initiative of the Australia Saudi Business Council and Forum, was established with a clear objective: to create a direct trade and loaistics corridor between Australia and Saudi Arabia
By bringing together government stakeholders, airports, freight operators, exporters, importers, and industry leaders, the Alliance is working to enhance supply chain efficiency, improve market access, reduce transit times, and unlock new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment
Over recent months, the Alliance has successfully signed strategic Memoranda of Understanding with 2 of Australia's most significant aviation and logistics gateways:

A particularly significant milestone was the signing of the MoU with John Wagner, Chairman of the Wagner Corporation at the Speaker's Chamber within Australian Parliament House.
