When courts overlook the profound, long-term effects of ASB on a victim, justice can hang in the balance. As our upcoming report points out, understanding victim impact is a necessity for fair sentencing and mitigating further harm.

Over half of anti-social behaviour victims we surveyed don’t report it because they believe nothing will be done.

Best practice isn't a box-ticking exercise. It means applying the threshold fairly and consistently, communicating with victims, giving weight to their impact statement, and following through on the action plan.

Severe anti-social behaviour is happening every day - so why aren't victims reporting it?
We conducted a victim survey to try and find out why. Our latest blog breaks down our findings.

@AngieMoonray19 I'm sorry to hear about that Angie. If you would like any advice, please feel free to get in touch, if you haven't done so already: https://t.co/8mnQAroaPm
Our upcoming report reveals a troubling reality: the justice system consistently show more consideration of perpetrator needs than victim safety and well-being.
Because #BalanceMatters, our upcoming report will break down the data behind this imbalance and what needs to change.
Today we publish Baroness Helen Newlove’s final report.
As Commissioner, Helen was a real force for change - this annual report is testament to that.
But it is also clear that victims’ rights are gathering dust as we wait for Government to deliver on the changes they promised.
Designed for frontline professionals to share with victims/witnesses of anti-social behaviour, our ASB Information Pack covers topics such as how to collect evidence and who to report anti-social behaviour to.

This #ASBAwarenessWeek comes as fewer victims are reporting anti-social behaviour.
Data shows many don’t know how to report. Others would report if they could do so anonymously.
Victims need clear routes to report, access to support, and confidence they’ll be taken seriously.
