The technology, as she put it, is able to capture images of entire bodies in a single scan, which allows forensic investigators to quickly and accurately identify injuries, fractures, and other signs of trauma.

Prof. Ryan went on to comment on the much-needed observations towards crowd control, saying, "In cases of angry crowds, people have thought of quailing them with what seemed like non-lethal weaponry (rubber bullets, tasers), but even those result into fatal deaths and injuries."
Starting off our third session, Prof Ryan Brumenthal, senior Specialist Forensic Pathologist @UPTuks, took us through Electro-Pathology--the practice of diagnosis through observation of muscle and nerve reactions.

He continued saying that forensic pathology is crucial in these cases because it evaluates and document physical torture, use of excessive force, and use of chemical weapons based on the laws and conventions.

Laurent Moncomble shared the story of QIAGEN in the areas of HID and forensics. He also provided an overview of QIAGEN's Sample to Insight procedure, during which samples are processed to optimize legal case resolution.
