Delhi police needs to clearly tell how many people are still under detention from yesterday's protest.
All the detainees should be released immediately.
@DelhiPolice
I apologise to all our supporters, especially the girls who were brutally beaten by male police officers.
We could have done better. I could have done better to protect you from the inhumane actions of the Delhi Police.
To protect one Dharmendra Pradhan, who is responsible for the deaths of more than 20 students, the Govt was willing to spill the blood of many more young students.
If you were injured and see this, please DM me. I want to speak to you personally and apologise.
We will keep fighting for all of you.
Just seeing this - Nadda ji, don’t lie.
Your government got desperate when they realised the strength of this movement.
Then ended up wasting our 4 hours for this useless meeting.
VIDEO | Delhi: "JP Nadda told us that he would speak to the senior leadership and get back to us, but we have received no response so far," says CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka.
CJP asks the police or the government to come to Jantar Mantar if they want to initiate talks.
#CJPProtest
Immediately needed at Jantar Mantar:
1. Portable mikes (2-3)
2. Medical kit - Bandaids, Dettols, Paracetamol, Pain killers (A lot of our protestors have been brutally beaten up by police)
3. Portable torch - No light at the ground
4. Brooms - The entire area has been destroyed
No response from the government yet.
There are still thousands of protesters all across the city.
Is the government response going to be limited to police brutality?
🚨#ImportantAnnouncement: @AshutoshRanka and I have been at J.P. Nadda’s residence since 12 noon. The demands have been conveyed, including immediate resignation/sacking of Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Minister assured us he will discuss this at the appropriate level. However, no commitments have been made so far. The peaceful protesters will not rest until the demand is met!
@Cockroachisback
The cockroaches have achieved a major victory today!
We made the Government bow down and listen to us.
We will not stop till Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
#Update
Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka and Gitanjali Ma’am ( Sonam sir’s wife ) are still continuing the sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar
They are right now in front of Kerala House
This peaceful protest is not ending!

🚨#ALERT: GEETANJALI JI’S HAIR PULLED BY DELHI POLICE, ASSAULTED.
A 12 YEAR OLD GIRL’S HEAD HAS BEEN BROKEN. 40-50 OTHER HEADS BROKEN!
@DelhiPolice WHAT IS GOING ON!?
To put the facts straight, it was only late yesterday night that DCP New Delhi reached out for opening a communication channel with government.
There were more serious discussions only from today 6AM, and only around 11:45AM was there an alignment on meeting Nadda ji.
We finally met Nadda ji 10 mins ago and he is checking with the leadership internally wrt our demands.
@DelhiPolice should immediately stop using brute force on peaceful protestors.
Update:
Me and @SauravDassss are still at Nadda ji's residence. Nadda ji has requested some time to align with their leadership with regards to our following demands:
- Immediate release of @Wangchuk66
- Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation
- 1Cr compensation for all NEET aspirants who committed suicide
#UPDATE: After waiting for more than 2 hours, @AshutoshRanka and I just met J.P. Nadda ji at his residence for 10 minutes.
While we submit a written letter with our demands, he has assured us that he will meanwhile speak internally. We are in that process. There is news of mass detention etc.
We were informed of government’s willingness to talk by @DelhiPolice this morning.
But there has been no progress on this in the last 5 hours.
Is the government trying to deliberately delay the discussions?
