After careful consideration and substantial deliberation, we have determined that ASLFC will be on hiatus until further notice. With so little engagement, membership numbers, and interest in leadership service, we are not able to continue. 1/

This decision has been weighing heavily on us but we feel it is the best one we can make until there comes a time we can fill the Executive Board and offer the caliber of advocacy our members deserve. 2/

Thanks to the @fcpsnews School Board for understanding the importance of staffing highly-qualified librarians at ALL school libraries and for ALL students. FY23 Budget shows an increase in allocation for Quander Road and Cedar Lane High Schools!
