Not all infections are the same, so why treat them the same? Start by knowing what you are treating. A @BARDA-supported test by @LumosDX determines whether a patient's acute respiratory infection is caused by bacteria. Information from the newly @US_FDA cleared test can be used to help patients avoid unnecessary treatments and costs while improving antibiotic stewardship. https://t.co/VE3RgyJlis
The FebriDx Bacterial/Non-bacterial Assay from @LumosDX is the 110th BARDA-supported product to receive @US_FDA approval, licensure or clearance. The 510(k) clearance & CLIA-waiver expands use of the test in settings like doctor’s offices, pharmacies, etc. ⬇️
