@emma_freeman37 @BorisJohnson I know, it’s so horrible. I really feel for you. Doesn’t the government realise that a big chunk of the money you’re due to pay to suppliers gets paid to them in tax....it’s in their best interests to ensure your suppliers stay afloat for the time your wedding can go ahead!
@emma_freeman37 @BorisJohnson Emma, I see it from both sides. I make allowances for clients when they reschedule, I don’t pass the costs of doing so on to them and I just need to take it on the chin when income disappears when they cancel. It’s difficult, but keeping deposits is necessary and fair.
@emma_freeman37 @BorisJohnson Well said @emma_freeman37 - the wedding industry needs help now. It also needs more understanding - those who think CMA guidelines are law and demand deposits back need to realise that it costs money to run a business and support a wedding booking. It’s a two-way street.
