Big news from the 2026 Inclusive FinTech Forum in Kigali: Rwanda's first National Insurance Strategy has been launched.

This landmark initiative positions insurance as a key pillar for economic resilience and the country's journey to upper-middle-income status by 2035 and high-income status by 2050.

Ambitious targets by 2035 include:
✅ Penetration from 1.9% → 5%
✅ Density: Frw 25K → Frw 45K
✅ Policyholder coverage: 27% → 45%
✅ Sector assets: 6% → 16% of GDP
