@EmmanuelXMtl@RivianTrackr Yes. Three years ago when I first got the R1S, I was nervous about not having it. My wife’s car has it, so I use it when I drive hers but there’s nothing special about it. It’s a bandaid for old-school shitty OEM software, especially bad on large displays. Don’t miss it at all.
@KevinMelnuk@teslavangelist@Rivian@juanpehh I read that the length of the current crossbar couldn’t shrink enough to accommodate the r2’s dimensions 🤷🏻♂️. Regardless, it’s just an accessory - had it been compatible that would be a bonus imo. There just won’t be enough owners of both vehicles for it to matter.
@KevinMelnuk@teslavangelist@Rivian@juanpehh For the life of me I can’t figure out why they would even consider it. What you’re asking is - “why wouldn’t Rivian’s design team design the r2 around Yakima’s roof rack length?” So that a tiny fraction of customers who own both the r1 and r2 don’t have to buy another rack… lol
@callmefaggg@Rivian Exactly. Imposing design constraints on the R2 for interoperability with r1 roof rack so that a narrow sliver of folks who own both vehicles don’t have to purchase a new accessory would be insane lol
@JonesDanny@MaxZamilov It’s remarkable that anyone can tolerate this idiot. His whole schtick is to ask questions aloud that could be answered with a google search in 30 seconds, as though he’s uncovered a deep conspiracy.
