Plenty to be proud of this season, but that doesn’t heal the immediate hurt and frustration of falling short.
You have to hate to lose even more than you love to win.
Apathy is the antithesis of success as a fan base.
Buy stock in @ASUSoftball and Coach Bartlett while you can.
What a year for @ASUSoftball!
This post season we saw you all capture what a sisterhood and playing for each other looks like! We are sooo proud of you! Congrats @coachcbartlett!
Epic run by @ASUSoftball that went farther than most could’ve ever imagined. Lots of spots to fill for next season, but Megan Bartlett proved she can assemble the championship level program that ASU is used to.
That will do it. No. 2 national seed Texas beats ASU 5-0 in decisive Super Regional game. Still, a wonderful as showing by Megan Bartlett's team which finished with 45 wins, highlighted by Big 12 tournament championship and Regional title. The future is bright.
Megan Bartlett talked this week about ASU being back.
Portal is always a factor, but they could return a strong core. Mejia, Swan, Chester, Schepp, Ho-Ching were big-time contributors throughout the year.
Meika Lauppe added to her pitch repertoire this year and mixed her high velocity with a change-up, something Barlett said could be "career-changing." Coach Bartlett also mentioned her excitement about the young arms coming to Tempe in their prep recruiting.
They'll see three outfielders that were in the rotation graduate. Kenzie Brown and Aissa Silva are also out of eligibility. Brooklyn Ulrich was steady as could be at shortstop and graduated.
It's a group that played a lot of really good softball for ASU and will be tough to replace.
But you're seeing the incremental steps each year in the Bartlett era, and they'll look to build in 2027.
