USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving.
Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free.
I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these."
"They just come with the table, man."
They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner.
This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat.
I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared.
"Did we…?"
"Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless."
Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined.
My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude."
Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man.
I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy.
Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived.
I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most.
Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.
Stop being retarded, start Retardmaxing
Being retarded means you’re ruminating and overthinking your decision
Retardmaxing means you’re making decisions based on your gut instinct — zero rumination, zero regrets

Western Australians pay into an $800 billion federal money pit making life harder.
Secession by Western Australia shows how WA can escape Canberra taxes, keep its resource wealth, and replace lost revenue with royalties.
That’s not “still paying taxes”.
That’s economic freedom
Australia is a country where if you win $500k on an 8 leg multi on SportsBet you won't have to pay any tax, but if you sell your business for $500k you'll have to give the government half.
What are we incentivising here?
How fucking retarded do you have to be to run your country this way?
An 'aspirational' budget would look something like:
• Indexation of income tax brackets so workers aren’t constantly going backwards
• Lower capital gains tax so those who save and invest can more easily build wealth
• Lower immigration to reduce its impact on suppressing wages and increasing rents
This budget is the opposite.
Budget 2026 is a direct tax on aspiration and risk-taking.
It kills the incentive for young Australians to invest in shares, startups and productive businesses.
This is intergenerational betrayal dressed up as fairness.
Stop punishing success. @AlboMP@JEChalmers”
Chalmers has just handed down a budget that discourages risk-taking, won’t see an extra house built, and hands Australians back crumbs while calling it “reform”. What else would you expect from a treasurer who did his doctorate in political science?

The @abcnews is running propaganda for Albanese’s tax grab, it’s not reporting!
Yes, older, wealthier Australians benefit most from the CGT discount. That’s not a bug, it’s the entire point. They took the risks, built businesses, bought properties, worked decades, and reinvested instead of blowing it all. Now @ausgov and their state media arm want to punish success to fund more spending, more migrants, and more “equity” for people who haven’t done the same.
This isn’t about “the rich paying their fair share.” It’s envy dressed as policy. Halving the discount (or worse) will:
• Hammer retirees relying on asset sales for super top-ups.
• Discourage investment in housing and shares exactly when Australia needs more of both.
• Drive capital and people overseas. We all know that smart money doesn’t stick around for retrospective punishment.
• Hurt the next generation most: fewer jobs, slower wage growth, and even harder-to-buy homes because supply stays choked.
You can’t tax your way to prosperity. Every time governments “soak the rich” like this, the middle class and aspirational get soaked next. The ABC knows it. @AlboMP and @JEChalmers knows it. They’re hoping you’re too dumb or distracted by the class warfare graphics to notice they’re breaking another election promise while killing the golden goose.
Australians built this country by keeping more of what they earn, not by having Canberra take a bigger cut every time someone succeeds. Stop the spin.
