East Ayrshire Carers Centre will visit Kilmarnock campus on Thursday 23 November. Look out for their stall located in the foyer between 12-2pm.
They can advise student carers about services and initiatives available to them.

I’ve had the privilege of taking part in @Columba1400 leadership academies as a young person and also as a staff member supporting young carers. They helped me to realise I wasn’t only just the kid who looked after his Dad but that I had my own aspirations in life. @EACarers

I'm almost 30 and have worked for @EACarers for what will be 10 years in July. Two very big milestones! Not only have I worked for the Carers Centre but I have also accessed their services as a Young Carer. I remember vividly having to support my father with his mental health...
...after the death of my brother due to alcohol misuse. I have no idea how I would have been able to cope if not for the services I was able to access. Many young people including myself back then had or have to give up their childhood to provide the support they do...
