The 'backlash' is ethereal and personal for a minority, that's why you had to use an opinion piece rather than an actual piece of news.

There weren't people chirpping on Twitter in 2002, the game sold better than the first and was better received than the first. He didn't use Raiden because it didn't serve the story anymore. Also, no one cares in 2026.

Also MGR exists. My point at the beginning of all of this is that no one playing mgs2 in 2026 cares about the Raiden switch up

Snake Eater explores the revaltions revealed at the end of 2, and 4 is functionally a finale to the series. 5 barely has a story and was notoriously unfinished. Do you believe that people have a more positive view of Venom over Raiden?

@PilotAlternator @AllYaNeedIs10VE @Notcertaim By what metric is 2 the worst. It is the most critically acclaimed, has arguably the best level design and has the most lore implications of any game in the series. Also they made Raiden sick af in 4 and MGR brother.

Also, the point is no one gives a fuck about the Raiden switch up anymore people love Raiden now
