After finishing fifth with roughly 11% of the vote, Mace said her focus was never about taking the easy path politically, pointing instead to her efforts on the Epstein files, sexual harassment settlements, and abuse investigations.

The congresswoman finished far behind Trump-backed Pamela Evette, who advanced to a runoff alongside Attorney General Alan Wilson.

“Serving South Carolina has been the greatest honor of my life,” she wrote after conceding.
