Nvidia will pay $6B to license Poolside’s AI technology and invest another $1B in the startup at a $12B pre-money valuation.

More than 100 Poolside employees are expected to join NVIDIA and work on Nemotron, its open-weight AI model family.

The goal is to build a U.S.-based open AI ecosystem capable of competing with Chinese models such as DeepSeek and Kimi, while also offering a lower-cost, customizable alternative to closed models from OpenAI and Anthropic.

NVIDIA is betting Nemotron can rival leading frontier models within the next year.

That's the future I'm interested in.

Not everyone becoming a software engineer.

Everyone being able to create the exact software they need, while the platform handles isolation, permissions, security, and governance underneath.

Start the timer. I gave @Grokbot $100 just now. I am going to hit GO on the project we started and see how long it takes to burn the wallet.

PROs: Agent orchestration is phenomenal. I even saw Open AI had a "sub agent" feature pop up in Codex today.
Talking to one bot who manages the others, they talk to each other and one bot reports back is great.
The bot computer being able to install programs is a plus.

CONs:
Burn rates on use is pretty bad. In less than three days I ran through credits for a week's usage and instead of it being a week by week cool down it's an automatic FIVE DAYS.
Bot computer is laggy and sometimes too slow to use.

It's me again. I come bearing great news.

First of all, we have hit 20M active users for Codex some time this week. Second of all, this is cause for celebration and during the day we will credit every Codex and ChatGPT Work user with a BANKED reset that you can use at your own leisure. And we will have some other good news later too!

Now, on usage limits draining faster, while we're not seeing anything abnormal, we do take it incredibly seriously and there is an ongoing investigation. I will share if we do find anything and my below post is really a clarification on a specific pattern that we did see that I wanted to call out.

# hours for Grokbot to burn $100 on some basic work. It's quick, it's strong enough to do some meaningful work but these usage limits are pretty terrible. I'm not sure I'll re-up my SGH sub after this month. Especially since I have to burn one of the 4 weeks waiting for usage to reset.
