We encourage everyone who is able to travel to Philadelphia for the summer conference @GtownMasjid to do so. Traveling in search of knowledge is the Sunnah of the early scholars, from the noble Companions to the great collectors of hadith, and it remains our way today. If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to tune in to the live broadcast and benefit from the lessons. Opportunities like these are valuable for those who strive to learn their religion.
The book being taught this weekend, The Servant’s Journey, is drawn from Imam Ibn al-Qayyim’s classical work Madarij al-Salikin, covering topics such as ihsan, love, and repentance. It will be taught by several of our esteemed mashayikh: Shaykh Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis @AbuHakeemBilal, Shaykh Hasan Somali @hikmahpubs, Shaykh Anwar Wright @anwarphilly, Shaykh Rasheed Barbee @MTWSNC, Shaykh Mustafa George @Mustafa_George, Shaykh Jameel Finch @abuadamfinch, and Shaykh Ahmad Fathi.
