They occupy positions meant to defend human rights, protect victims, and uphold universal principles. Instead, they have dehumanised, delegitimised, and dismissed the experiences of Jewish victims, compounding the suffering of those they were duty-bound to support and protect.

The irony is awe-inspiring…Day after day, more disturbing details emerge about the involvement of UNRWA personnel in the atrocities of 7 October. One might expect accountability, introspection, or even a simple acknowledgement of the profound failures that followed.

Instead, we continue to witness the dehumanisation, dismissal, and vilification of the victims themselves.

I was able to obtain the truancy complaints from Gallia County. The records show Gallia County officials weren't just trying to hold Elizabeth Siders and Gary Siders Jr. responsible for their children's repeated absences from school: they also filed separate cases involving several of the children themselves. Under Ohio law, children who are repeatedly absent from school without a valid excuse can be labeled "UNRULY" in juvenile court.

Despite how it sounds, that doesn't mean the children were accused of committing crimes or behaving badly. It's apparently a legal term used in habitual truancy cases. Obviously in the end, none of the cases moved forward because court records show authorities were unable to locate or serve the Siders family.

I asked the juvenile court if there were any follow-up's that I should be aware of, and was told, "No." Below are examples of redacted complaints.
