@marsden_j@bouds_c@iheartmindy @RussellParsley @realstewpeters@realjuliasong This is essentially the entire point of the project. Below is a clip from an Emily Dickinson poem, after which this is titled. Glad you are amongst those who understand.
@ConnieKittelman @iheartmindy @RussellParsley @realstewpeters@realjuliasong The child is wearing shorts - and kids get to decide when they do and do not start wearing clothes. We are the ones that make it less freely accepted. I think it’s great that this conversation is happening between art in the intent behind it. I know it’s innocuous.
@jifycat911@ReeezaT@jamieleecurtis This is a clip from her statement, which is from an Emily Dickinson poem. The point is essentially that children are innocent until we make them less so. You’re proving her point.
@LucyRiles@jamieleecurtis Correction - you said it’s a photo still called it a painting. Sinister is only in how you view it. It’s not. Contact the photographer for a statement instead of lambasting her for your own misguided view.
@SB61310298 @LucyRiles@jamieleecurtis These are her own children. I know her and them very well. They’re also well-adjusted and kind and terrific adults now, and are fully OK with the photographs being posted. This Emily Dickenson poem is part of her statement. Only those who want to see it as sinister do.
@melina_lacy@TheSarcasticist@Most_Maximus1 I’ll give you her email address. If you don’t ask like an jerk, I’m sure she’d be open to a dialogue. She’s a great human, friend and mother.
@AnimalUnite@jamieleecurtis I’m a friend of hers and she made her IG private yesterday after multiple nasty remarks directed at her children - who by the way are terrific adults now and fully support the showing of their mothers’ works. Basically the internet is proving her point.
@JFKsSideChick@ImmigrantLucky@its_the_Dr Those parts are cropped out. Again, these are her children. People placing a sinister message see what they want to see.
