मुझे नहीं लगता कि अपने इतिहास में कभी इज़रायल और अमरीका की इतनी बड़ी हार हुई है। इसके पहले शायद उसे कभी मुआवज़ा नहीं देना पड़ा है।

वह स्ट्रेट और हॉर्मुज खुलवाने को ट्रम्प अपनी उपलब्धि बता रहा है जो खुली थी।

ईरान दुनिया के सामने एक महाशक्ति के रूप में आया है। व्यापार में छूट और फ्रोजेन एसेट रिलीज उसकी आर्थिक ताक़त को भी कई गुना बढ़ायेंगे।

जब हम शुरू में यह कह रहे थे कि जंग में ईरान भारी पड़ेगा तो केवल भक्त ही नहीं, कई कथित लिबरल भी मज़ाक़ उड़ा रहे थे। इतिहास और अंतराष्ट्रीय राजनीति की समझ न हो तो अमरीकी-यूरोपी मीडिया के असर में बह जाना स्वाभाविक था।

फ़िलहाल डील को खतरा सिर्फ़ इज़रायल से है जो लेबनान से अपनी फ़ौजें वापस बुलाने को तैयार नहीं लग रहा।

पाकिस्तान अपनी पैदाइश के बाद पहली बार इस स्तर की डिप्लोमेसी का हिस्सा बनकर पीसमेकर के रूप में सामने आया है, भारत पहली बार ऐसे किसी संकट में चल रही डिप्लोमेसी से इस क़दर बाहर रहा है।

प्रधानमंत्री युद्ध शुरू होने से पहले इजरायल की संसद में समर्थन कर आए थे। अब यह कैसी डिप्लोमेसी थी, यह आप तय कीजिए।
