Patriotism is the highest calling of citizenship. It is not measured by political colour, office, or influence, but by an unwavering devotion to the nation's sovereignty, dignity, and destiny.
In moments of national challenges, every Somaliland citizen bears a sacred moral obligation to rise above partisan interests, reject division, and stand united in defence of our homeland.
Patriotism demands more than words! It calls upon every citizen never to lend strength, voice, or legitimacy to narratives, agendas, or alliances that undermine Somaliland's quest for recognition or embolden those who seek to sabotage Somaliland’s sovereignty and national aspirations.
In the face of adversity, history will honour those who chose unity over division, country over self-image, and the enduring interests of Somaliland above every fleeting political difference.
It's a great privilege to conduct the first official diplomatic visit to Somaliland, at the invitation of President @Abdirahmanirro.
The visit is also a message: We are determined to vigorously advance relations between Israel and Somaliland.
Today, we held substantive discussions with the President and senior members of his government on the full range of our relations.
The mutual recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries are not directed against anyone. Our shared objective is to promote the mutual benefit of both nations and countries.
In Hargeisa, I made it clear:
Only Israel will decide whom it recognizes and with whom it maintains diplomatic relations.
The President of Somaliland informed me that he has accepted @IsraeliPM Netanyahu’s invitation and will pay an official visit to Israel.
Never forget when the pirate regime in Mogadishu endangered the lives of millions of Somalilanders by withholding COVID-19 vaccines as a political weapon.

#Somaliland Passport Featured on Global Passport Index Website.
In a significant development for international recognition, the Republic of Somaliland has made its mark on the renowned Passport Index website, a leading global platform that ranks and displays the strength and quality of passports worldwide.
Israel’s formal recognition of Somaliland marks a historic affirmation of political reality and international credibility. As noted by The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, The Telegraph and many other world leading news outlets, Somaliland is not a hypothetical project but a functioning, stable state with a clear sovereign history, democratic governance, and a proven record in regional security.
Recognition does not create Somaliland! It acknowledges an existing fact. Israel’s decision reflects a broader international reassessment that values performance over rhetoric and facts over outdated assumptions, reaffirming that recognition is a sovereign act.
Somaliland remains open to principled, respectful engagement with all nations.
Beyond Secession: Somaliland, Legal Realism, and the AU’s Crisis of Credibility
By recognizing Somaliland's 1960 sovereignty, Israel exposes the African Union’s legal contradictions and its capture by narrow interests.

(We post this tweet because Taiwan and Somaliland have close ties. #Somaliland is one of twelve countries worldwide that recognize #Taiwan as an independent country!)

Somaliland.
To the world watching 👁️
Somaliland speaks through institutions, law, and diplomacy — not noise.
34 years of peace and democracy are not a claim.
The Government of the Republic of #Somaliland affirms its principled alignment with the #UnitedStates in support of calibrated international action to uphold constitutional order and the rule of law in #Venezuela, and to support a peaceful, #Venezuelan led #transition.

@RoblyXNews24 @EdnaAdanFdn Those who deny Somaliland’s progress—individuals or governments—cannot deny reality.
34 years of peace, democracy, and stability speak louder than noise.
History is moving forward. Somaliland is moving forward.

When the Somali regime, led by Siad Barre, committed a massacre against the people of Somaliland, the world was silent. But Israel was not silent.
In 1990, Israel’s then-ambassador to the UN, Yohanan Bein, sent a letter to the UN Security Council warning about the massacre committed by Somalia in the city of Hargeisa. Even when it was inconvenient and diplomatically costly, Israel chose what was right.
That is what moral leadership looks like.
Dear President @realDonaldTrump,
Israel has just led the way by recognizing the stable, peaceful, pro-America democracy of Somaliland as a sovereign nation.
Now it's America's turn! Follow the bold call from @SenTedCruz: formally recognize Somaliland, counter China in the Horn of Africa, secure strategic ports, and reward a true ally in the fight against terrorism. America First means standing with winners like Somaliland!

Opening Somaliland’s Strategic Gateway to Global Opportunities
Somaliland’s Minister of Aviation, Hon. Fuad Ahmed Nuh, has signed a $70M partnership with International Maharat Investment Company to modernize #Hargeisa Airport—the largest aviation investment in the nation’s history.
Finalized at the #Dubai International Financial Centre, this deal underscores Somaliland’s commitment to stronger infrastructure and global connectivity.
Alongside the new visa-on-arrival policy, the upgrades will make Somaliland more accessible for investors, visitors, and the diaspora.
While Somalia imposes unlawful charges on travelers, Somaliland is charting a path of sovereignty and openness; easing entry, protecting travelers’ rights, and building global links.
These initiatives send a clear message: Somaliland is open to the world—ready for trade, investment, and deeper international engagement.
