Keep in mind the temple mount, though counquered by Israel and technically should be under Israeli control, when conquered in 67, Israel understood the religious significance to Muslims and in order to try and keep the peace, they from 1967-today left it up to Jordanian control with all but one enterance accesable only to Muslims with Jews only allowed to enter from one entereance and only on certain times and certain days and never actually enter the mosque which sits on top of the holiest site in Judaism.

The entire premise of 10/7 being about resistence is idiotic and goes against what Hamass themselves claimed it was about.
