I LOVE CINDERELLA RETELLINGS!!! Idk what it is about this fairy tale in particular but every aspect of this story grabs me. Someone could write a retelling abt the guy who delivers the invitation to the ball and you bet your ass I’m reading it
Here is the difference between an AI novel and a human-authored novel: AI novels can only learn to copy the words printed on the page. Great human-authored novels also have stories whispering through what ISN'T printed on the page. What isn't said is just as important as what is.
This is more dramatic in some genres than others.
AI is getting more and more sophisticated at aesthetics, but because it is only a digital aggregate, it can only ever offer a mimicked fairy feast of meaning.
If anyone is looking to improve their language skills, cannot recommend translating a novel enough. I've been translating one slowly, and I can tell I'm getting quicker at recognizing new vocab and grammar structures! Also, you get a fun little story to keep you motivated
