Excited to share that our study on #Mindfulness 🧘♀️has been featured as the cover article in Nature Human Behaviour! On this World Mental Health Day, it’s a great reminder that mindfulness can help reduce stress and enhance our ability to be in the present moment.
🛍️Major AI companies are increasingly embedding sponsored content into chatbot conversations.
Across two preregistered experiments (N=2,012), we test how effectively AI can steer consumers toward sponsored products in a realistic shopping scenario.

@CarloCalenda@GiuseppeConteIT Lui mi pare abbia portato 209 miliardi (che è l’unico motivo per cui il pil italiano cresce leggermente). Lei invece che cosa ha portato?
Running decentralized trials? 📱 They're powerful, but the tech hurdles are real.
Our remote study hit 98% retention, but we also got:
Messy HRV data 📉
Fragmented apps that "distracted" users
Participant complaints about "sticking to the same time"
We made a checklist:
Top 4 tips:
Integrate tools into ONE app. Stop making users jump around.
Allow flexible timing. Real-world schedules > rigid ones.
Use video tutorials for tech tasks.
Test all devices before launch. (Seriously. All of them.)
Can self-administered mindfulness interventions reduce stress?
An international team of researchers, including @ASTARsg, tested 2,000+ participants across 37 locations and found small but significant benefits. 🧘

Website glow-up! ✨ I've updated my site to better share my projects on mental health and non-pharmacological interventions.
It's now more interactive and easier to navigate, with redesigned press and project sections. let me know your thoughts! https://t.co/sQIsib1cR8 👈
Bottom line: This study proves we CAN conduct high-quality, decentralized mental health trials. It gives us a solid blueprint for future, larger studies.
Huge thanks to our participants & research team! 🙏

🎉 New paper out in @JMIRpub Mental Health!
We tested a fully remote mindfulness app 🧘♂️ to tackle stress in Singapore 🇸🇬. Can we run rigorous digital health trials straight from a smartphone? (Spoiler: YES)

Key findings:
✅ Feasibility was a huge success! We had an incredible 98.3% retention rate. People stuck with it!
🤔 As a pilot, we weren't powered to compare groups, but we saw a promising signal: BOTH the mindfulness & control groups reported significant stress reduction.
Quick tip for academics: You can build a professional website in under 30 minutes using AI.
I prompted an LLM with my CV details and had it generate the HTML. Then I just uploaded the file to GitHub Pages
