Flavio Briatore: "Franco Colapinto has never won anything; that's why I don't understand why there were more than half a million people supporting him in Buenos Aires."
"Those people were there to see nothing, because those in front were blocking their view."
"I will support Argentina's return to F1 if Colapinto stays with Alpine. If he doesn't, I won't care."

This is fascinating, if incomplete debate for a couple reasons:
(1) We never got a dry Chicago. I do genuinely think a dry Chicago race would have been brilliant.
(2) Mexico was great, IMO. But people on here bitch ceaselessly any time SVG wins anything lmao.
Now commences the next several years of people not understanding that it's a TEAM event and that you shouldn't wipe out your TEAMmates.

God, this event sucks.

Right now at least 20% of INDYCAR field have significant injuries:
-Schumacher broken wrist (St Pete)
-Rossi ankle/finger surgery (Indy)
-Newgarden foot injury (Indy)
-Collet broken rib (Indy)
-Grosjean broken finger (Detroit)
(4/4) Also, how is this such a problem NOW???
NASCAR managed to figure this out when the sport was at it's peak and loaded with companies looking to get in an ad spot or two on any given Sunday. AND they managed to do so with a vastly superior TV product to what we have now.
(3/4) I know there were some other external factors that contributed to Nashville running until 12:30a EDT, but you can't tell me that the half-hour, 45 minutes we spend, per race running behind the pace car for the sake of commercials wouldn't be better allocated elsewhere.
