Professor Bert Greenwalt’s Introduction to Agricultural Business class explored Arkansas State history on April 30, learning about A-State’s agricultural roots. Founded in 1909, the school became the First District Agricultural & Mechanical College in 1925.

Seven A-State Agribusiness Club members toured NW Arkansas (Apr 16–18), visiting UA ag econ, law school, Walton College & Nat’l Ag Law Center. They met alumni at Tyson Foods, toured an aeroponic greenhouse, ending with Crystal Bridges & Walmart Museum.

CoA Junior Brittany Hirsch traveled with Dr. Rich to Albuquerque NM for the 2023 Annual American Society of Animal Science Conf July 16-20. Brittany presented her poster titled “Effect of Different Semen Extenders on Post-Thaw Characteristics of Caprine Semen” in the competition.

CoA alumna Amy Greenwalt Tallent was recently recognized as the 2023 Arkansas Master Gardener Agent of the Year for programs with 50 or fewer members. Amy is the Staff Chair of the Prairie County Cooperative Extension Service and lives near Hazen. Congratulations Amy!
