Mayor Adams authorised NYPD into Columbia campus in response to Pro Palestinian student protestors occupying Butler Library. On live television he said Columbia was in contact. Scores of police officers enter Columbia through Butler Library’s side gate on 114th and Amsterdam.

NYPD entered through the delivery entrance of Butler. There was at least one arrest made and the NYPD took them out through the same entrance. Lot of media and student journalists were not allowed inside to report on what how the NYPD was conducting arrests.

I was also at the same town hall and I echo the same sentiment. The reporting misrepresented and cherry picked a 1.5hr conversation that tried to address the many fears of student (esp. international) journalists at CJS. I absolutely despise how this was reported in bad faith.
