RUSSIA HAS WON: HOW EUROPE BELIEVED ITS OWN LIES IN UKRIANE.
In the coming days, Russia is set to declare victory over Ukraine and NATO. This is coming on heels of what everyone knew since the last months of 2024, but no one had the courage to say it until Trump said it. Despite over $350billion in hardware and intelligence military assistance, Ukraine on their own could not defeat Russia or drive Russian forces out of Ukraine. Additionally, new data maps now show the real reason NATO and Putin wanted Ukraine in their corner – $11 trillion worth of rare earth minerals, as well as oil and gas reserves lies hidden underneath Ukrainian soil, and Russia had mainly captured and is controlling all territories surrounding this wealth. This is the main reason trump is negotiating directly with Russia, and this is why Putin was okay with capturing “just 20+%” of Ukraine, because it was the most valuable 20%. It is just like capturing all the oil-producing areas in Nigeria if you are a foreign power, because of what use will capturing Kebbi or Taraba states be to you if you can hold the oil producing areas and strangle Nigeria economically?
On X, Europeans having not seen this coming, are blaming Trump for not continuing to support Ukraine via an all-out war against Russia, which is stupid because no sensible person wants to imagine a war between Great Powers like the US and Russia that might then involve the use of nuclear weapons.
So, the question is, why didn’t Europe (especially Germany, France, Britain and Italy) see that the war was unwinnable, especially when US funding started drying up under President Biden?
My guess is that Europe believed the lies spread by Western media, possibly sponsored by big defence companies and contractors who wanted misinformation and propaganda to shape public perception and force US and European governments to continue spending on this unwinnable war in Ukraine. After all, war is another form of Commerce. These misinformation and propagandas includes;
1. Inflated Casualty Figures:
In December 2024, U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd J. Austin III, reported that Russia had suffered at least 700,000 military casualties—both killed and wounded—since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. He highlighted that in November 2024 alone, Russia lost nearly 1,500 troops per day.
Western media ran with this lie, and nobody was rational enough to question it. Before the invasion, Russia had a standing army of 900,000 active military personnel. Yet, Austin made Europe believe that the end was near for Putin as Russia had allegedly lost around 80% of its military force.
The real figures of actual Russian losses as we have now learnt, are less than 10% of the above figure compared to the 300,000 dead Ukrainian soldiers. Silly Europeans ran with this lie, jubilating that they would soon swoop into Ukraine and tap the mineral wealth, not knowing that Austin was playing a fast one on them. The defence contractors better give Austin his money, he earned it. LOL.
2. Fabricated War Stories
One of the most well-documented cases of misinformation was the "Ghost of Kyiv" – a supposed Ukrainian fighter pilot who was single-handedly shooting down multiple Russian aircrafts. This legend was widely shared by Ukrainian officials and Western media; to buttress the bravery of Ukrainians and prove that Russian soldiers and pilots were inept and untrained and dying by thousands. Well, this has now been debunked as a myth, and the entire Ukrainian Airforce is gone, wiped out by Russia forces. The Ukrainian government eventually admitted the story was propaganda meant to boost morale. But before then, it spurred more support for Ukraine via military assistance, and European leaders and people truly believed Ukraine to be winning.
