I painted The Queen Mother 's portrait in egg tempera the Old Masters' medium
Two letters I received from Rideau Hall Ottawa where I personally took the portrait I painted of HM The Queen Mother. My painting was taken to Clarence House
pl read my post
Giselle has just made this video showing the thin lines the egg tempera painting is made up of. I used the same medium and technique.painting my portrait of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother ( taken to Clarence House to Her Majesty by the messenger of The Government House )
QTing to show comparison with another video I made just now of egg-tempera painting by my mom Agota Szabo see below. You can better see the thin lines it's made up of. Her painting of The Queen Mother was painted in the exact same style.

My daughter, Giselle actually modeled for my egg-tempera painting as a child when we lived in Canada, where she grew up. It is made up of tiny hairthin lines, as you will be able to see in my next post in a video Giselle has just made.

My mom's Agota Szabo painting "The Yellow Dress" also painted and exhibited in Bern, Switzerland back when I was a kid. Glazed oil, more Rembrandt style.

Though that famous Descartes quote has lost its true meaning, been rendered into a cliché, I'll post it here for all to read and see, along with a painting of Szabo.

The sight of a painting imprints upon the soul indelible mixtures of emotions and even of sounds. With the single sense of sight we can blend and combine the remaining senses of memory...

Of all her paintings, the translucent shades of warmth yet at the same time of distant contemplation has always made this one my favourite.

A very Happy Easter Holyday again, this time especially for my ex-classmates at my high school, whom I last time met was on the only one high school reunion I was able to go to, as I was living in Canada at that time
