We are only halfway into December, but the small cap game has changed dramatically this month. We have had plenty of runners which is great, but the traps for both long and short traders have been insanely hard to navigate

These stocks have always been manipulated, but the intensity lately feels dialed up. It feels like if you go long, the company suddenly blows up (IRBT) or you get hit with an intraday offering (MIGI)
If you go short, you get trapped in nasty squeezes like AMCI and ARTV today

Overall, this has not been clean or easy action on either side of the tape. The manipulation that has always been there feels more advanced right now. Even a lot of the more systematic, algorithm friendly edges feel like they are getting worn down as the market adapts

With the year coming to an end, it has me feeling more risk off unless it is a true A+ opportunity. If you are struggling, you are not alone. The key is recognizing what is happening and adapting accordingly

We have seen plenty of small cap runner cycles, but this SMX cycle feels like something has shifted, or maybe it is just me...
