@robparkerMLBbro shares his gratitude for joining the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame. He joins Garry D. Howard, Ron Thomas, and Clifton Brown this weekend in being recognized. The public ceremony is at the NCA&T Student Center April 11 at 6 p.m.

Rob Parker graduated from @SCSU in 1986, who honored him with a press box in his name in 2025. Parker currently serves as an adjunct professor at @USCAnnenberg. For his groundbreaking work, @robparkerMLBbro will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.

Ron Thomas won the Excellence in Sports Journalism Lifetime Achievement award from Northeastern in 2011, and then another Lifetime award from @NABJSports years later. For his groundbreaking work, @Ron_Thomas32 will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.

@ACBJ_GarryD began his career with the Trenton Times newspaper in the early 1980s. He worked as an obituary, police and municipal government reporter for The Home News Tribune. For his groundbreaking work, Howard will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.

Clifton Brown was a Sports writer at the Indianapolis Star (also called IndyStar) from 2017-18. He primarily covered the @Pacers at the peak of Victor Oladipo’s career. For his groundbreaking work, @CliftonGBrown will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.

Rob Parker has been regularly featured in First Take, Undisputed, and The Odd Couple. He established “MLBBro,” dedicated to highlighting Black and Brown @MLB players. For his groundbreaking work, @robparkerMLBbro will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.

@Ron_Thomas32 was the researcher for the HBO’s “Fields of Fire: Sports in the 60s.” He contributed to the book “Sports in Society: Equal Opportunity or Business as Usual?” For his groundbreaking work, Thomas will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.

@ACBJ_GarryD was inducted into the Milwaukee Press Club Hall of Fame in 2017 and the @NABJ Hall of Fame in 2019. He worked for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for 16 years. For his groundbreaking work, Howard will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.

@CliftonGBrown was the lead NFL writer for @sportingnews from 2007 to 2013, covering moments like the revival of the Patriots dynasty and Robert Griffin III’s rookie season. For his groundbreaking work, Brown will be inducted in the Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame April 11.
