We are proud to announce that #ATIDI, through its Regional Liquidity Support Facility (#RLSF), has approved a payment guarantee for the Sokodé Solar Project, #Togo’s second grid-connected solar power plant and the first RLSF-backed project in #WestAfrica. The payment guarantee covers the risk of non-payment by the Togolese national utility, Compagnie Énergie Électrique du Togo (CEET).
Jointly developed by @Meridiam and the French multinational power utility, EDF , the 62 MW plant will supply clean energy to the grid per the terms of a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CEET. Debt for the project will be provided by the @AfDB_Group and @Proparco.
This marks the 10th #RLSF-supported project across #ATIDI’s member states; a notable milestone as we all collectively contribute towards increased investment confidence, particularly for sustainable energy projects, in #Africa.
