@SScarneoMiller@NATA1950 The last time I volunteered was at Philly. I try to volunteer each time I attend. Yes, 40 hours is a lot but you can volunteer the day before sessions start and then I always volunteered at presentations I wanted to attend any way. Great way to meet people too.
@rogerses2@NATA1950 I believe acknowledging the concerns is a good first step. They also put that they will "implement measures" to make all members and attendees feel welcome at Orlando and future events.
I am surprised by the amount of information at https://t.co/N6HpuulQcf There is even a whole presentation on eating when injured. Who doesn't like a grilled cheese. Vitamin A might be the most challenging nutrient to include in meals compared to zinc and vitamin C. #Nutrition
@TDekkersPhysio Nice thread. In these pictures and most likely in the study there is probably a correlation to body composition and back pain. How much do we education patients on body composition while we are teaching new postural patterns?
@awigington_atc The education would be directed at the parent, explaining that the physician might be suggesting a "fix" that may limit the ankle causing issues elsewhere. Sometimes I offer a non-rigid taping and some active warmup/balance movements in these cases.
Contemporary Leadership: In public health, leadership effectiveness can benefit large communities. When a vision is lacking the leadership may tend to or autocratic to show control but that is equivalent to being the pilot of a plane with no engine. https://t.co/Nw07LK8l3u
@erinbearhart Do it. You students and your patience/patients will thank you. There are tools to encourage meaningful conversations. Remember it is okay to complete mock cases to skills/ conditions they don't see. Also you will be a master so that's cool.
