The Activist Teacher Network is a rank and file group building networks amongst public educators in NSW. We publish a regular newsletter called Class Action.
39% of NSW staff report burnout
Without increased Relief from Face to Face and reduced class sizes, teachers will continue to burnout, students still miss out
Experienced teachers will leave or reduce their days/hours, beginning teachers will still leave

The PM is lying.
The only "full funding" Labor is delivering is to private schools. 98% of public schools don't even get their minimum funding - and there's no plan to get them there.
@JasonClareMP The "full funding" Albanese claims is a fudge
The new claim of @JasonClareMP as to an extra $20billuon is nothing more than adding existing school resource indexation over 10 years
Don't wait for Labor on Funding, Workload
Class Action into @TeachersFed Annual Conference 2026
✊ Vic teachers fight for Pay, Workload- we need to do the same
✊🏼 Fight Labor's NDIS cuts
✊🏾 Condemn "Social Cohesion Hub
One Nation's "woke" bandwagon no surprise- and it's right for the AEU to call it out
But there is nothing in the @AEUfederal statement to contest the factors driving recent support towards ON- cost of living, Labor's neo-liberalism, collapse of the LNP
https://t.co/xmZ2y24wI4
Solidarity to Victorian teachers and support staff in their campaign for a better conditions and pay deal
Getting on the streets together to beat cost of living and Labor's neo-liberalism, is also the best antidote to One Nation's diet of despair and racism
Oppose the covert and underhanded changes proposed by the Crown Land Management Amendment Bill 2026 to stop its progress - Sign the Petition! https://t.co/P1lTcxbo8A via @ChangeAUS
Watching Senator Jordon Steele-John intermittently raging at and patiently schooling a row of NDIA and Health bureaucrats and TEARING them a new one is perhaps the best thing I have ever watched.
If you want to see a bunch of suits squirming on a hook at questions at a public hearing about the most ridiculous decision a government has ever made, it’s here.
Good Lord. And these are the people running this thing. They don’t even know how the NDIS runs, let alone disabled people’s lives.

Even @grok knows @AlboMP intends to keep public schools 30% below adequate funding until 2035, while private schools remain over funded
His deliberate obsfucation is driving the distrust towards previous mainstream parties that leads to the rise of One Nation

"Do you accept the argument that...if benefits were higher, people would have a greater ability and capacity?"
Rishworth: When I speak to jobseekers, they want a high quality [job] service that has their back
Such a lie. Every jobseeker i've ever spoken to wants the rate raised
John Howard waged a war against public institutions. He privatised aged care, supercharged public spending on private schools and created the hellscape that is job services and mutual obligations.
Labor opposed all of these things at the time. Now it's their policy platform 🤷
@JasonClareMP A shame you are cutting funding to primary and secondary public schools across the next 4 budget years, under inflation
@AEUfederal needs to take action
@JaneCaro essay 'Rich Kid, Poor kid' was published BEFORE the federal budget
But @JasonClareMP and @AlboMP choose to CUT public school $ while increasing private school $
@AEUfederal mustn't wait for Labor to push back funding yet another 10 years
https://t.co/VEWQATreEl
Federal spending on private schools under Labor is growing FASTER than funding to public schools.
Labor's pouring $59 million a day into the private system while public school buildings crumble & teachers dip into their own pockets to buy supplies.
What are we even doing here?
Update: Labor has now paid $8.1* billion for unbuilt submarines- but still not a single extra cent for public schools funding !
* $4.2b to USA shipbuilding, $3.9b to Sth Aust shipbuilding
