When I was younger, other kids told me Pokémon: The First Movie wasn't good.
Then I watched it.
When Ash turned to stone, I started to teared up.
I didn't understand why then,
I just knew I felt differently.

I love Serebii's webdesign and I honestly think it's a precious gem of early Internet that is still alive today.
It looks the same as it did in 2007 when I joined the online Pokémon Community and its an invaluable encyclopedia but also a reminder that a handcrafted web existed.
Algorithmic social media (including this site especially) feels specially designed to prey on the lonely by isolating them even further. Reminder that you have the free will to watch what *you* want, play a game you want to play, and to create/seek the things that bring you joy!!
if you only ever see bad things in the online pokémon community you’ve told whichever social media algorithm that’s what you want to see with your interactions & what you spend time reading imo bc there’s a whole lot more good around than bad
Most people probably see an old Trainer card.
I see Pokémon gathered around listening to music together.
And honestly that feels like Pokémon at its best.

@angelodotsui Boy, ain’t nothin’ gonna top nighttime back in Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver. Them quiet cities, the soft music, and that night hittin’ different at 2 in the mornin’ felt downright magical, I tell ya.
