A fascinating read on the world's first full-scale ship tunnel that will be built in Norway.

The job involves boring through a 300-metre-high mountain as part of the 1.7 km tunnel which will accommodate ships up to 16,000 tonne.

Permanent works on the cavern roof are now underway at State Library Station with crews using this gantry crane to reach the 14m height of the roof. You can also see other permanent structures being built, including 50 steel columns.
