Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it.
Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse.
It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.
The modern West was built on a combination of caffeine, nicotine and alcohol.
We abandon that cocktail for newfangled nootropics and appetite suppressants at our peril.
Culture is downstream of drugs and religion.
Necro’ing the AC discourse but I’m in London again. It’s 60° F out (freedom units). Everyone in the tube is dressed like they’re going skiing. I’m chilling in a tee shirt and the weather feels great.
Starting to suspect there’s an entirely different dimension to the Murican vs Britbong divide we all forgot.
I just bought a Tesla Model Y
Full Self Driving is one of the most impressive pieces of technology I’ve ever experienced.
I now wish I’d got it a year ago.
Just learned:
Software engineers used to do manual data labeling at Scale AI while Alex Wang was CEO. After he left, new leadership joined, and were HORRIFIED to learn this. Stopped it ASAP
Now at Meta, software engineers are assigned manual data labeling... see the pattern?
My nuanced take about ex-consultant types. The stereotypes didn’t fall out of the sky, but there’s some specificity required.
Consulting->Ops/Finance types can be exceptionally great talent.
Consulting->Sales/Strategy types have 1/999 odds of achieving sentience. Typically destined to drooling themselves to death by dehydration.
In Australia people hear I worked at BCG and assume I must be smart. In San Francisco people assume it means my brain ceased development at 14 years old and entered a relentless and ceaseless decline

AI is indigenous to America because, despite occasional cultural swoons, we provide a friendlier environment for tech+business innovation than other Anglosphere countries
I actually just missed my flight to London because of these kiosks.
Now I’m several hours into dealing with @AmericanAir’s support team trying to find every possible way to ensure I never leave this airport.
Another example of extreme cost saving
My 84 yo grandma and mom had to fly from the Vienna airport today
The airport replaced almost all luggage check-in desks with self check-in
The guidelines are extremely confusing and there is only one overworked person helping people out
You have to figure out how to get the boarding pass, scan it, get a ticket for the luggage, attach it and then hand it over to the moving feed
I’m sure if I wasn’t around my mom and grandma wouldn’t be able to do all the steps and would have missed the flight
What did the passengers get for the cost savings of the airport? Nothing.
Prices in the stores are still insanely high and the ticket prices also didn’t decrease a notch
I’m a fan of automatisation and always choose self-service options when possible cz humans don’t have to do stupid work
But automatisation should improve the UX and make things more convenient and fast, not more complicated and confusing
