@tokunbo_wahab Floodwater/Stormwater Collection → Retention & Storage → Treatment → Water-Quality Verification → Reuse/Distribution
water recovery, environmental protection and improved water availability, particularly within the Lekki-Ajah corridor
@tokunbo_wahab The system could also provide an additional raw or treated water source for integration with the Lagos water-supply system. without solely depending on addiyan and iju water works to provide raw water for @Lagoswater
@tokunbo_wahab Rather than allowing collected floodwater and stormwater to be discharged as waste, suitable water could be diverted to dedicated storage and treatment facilities for treatment, recycling and beneficial reuse.
@tokunbo_wahab while adapting the approach to the specific hydrological, environmental and urban conditions of Lagos.
We would welcome the opportunity to discuss how an integrated flood-management strategy could be developed for the identified areas in Lagos.
@tokunbo_wahab zoning of identified flood-prone hotspots.
A detailed assessment of the major flooding hotspots can be used to develop a Flood Risk Zoning and Management Plan, identifying areas requiring drainage upgrades, temporary flood storage/retention facilities, pumping systems,
@tokunbo_wahab controlled discharge routes, and other appropriate interventions
Our team can provide technical support in developing such a solution, drawing on our experience and exposure to drainage and infrastructure practices in Qatar,
@tokunbo_wahab Sir, Flooding in Lagos can be significantly mitigated through an integrated flood-management approach combining groundwater management where technically applicable, improved stormwater drainage, designated emergency flood-retention/storage areas, and effective zoning
My People,

WHY MANY MEN DIES EARLY
Recently, my mind ran through a lot. I thought of a lot of women whose husband died long ago: 10, 20, or even 30 years ago and their wives are still alive. Many of them remarried but some did not. Hmmm!
Some of the men that I knew died of high blood pressure, strokes or heart failure. The heart has taken too much. They have taken on too many responsibilities. They have bottled up too much pressure.
I believe many men died early because they did not look after themselves, hardly do medical checkups, do not eat well, sleep well, or exercised well. They have houses that they pay its mortgage, its rent, or that they have fully paid for but they are hardly there whilst the women look after themselves and are usually at home. Restlessness kills!
Many men are trying to be a man because they don't want to be vulnerable. When they have financial pressures, they don’t cry out. They try to carry the family responsibilities when they know they don’t have the capacity. Brother, allow your wife to help you by making some financial contributions.
A lot of men are going through domestic abuse but they do not cry out. I know of a Nigerian billionaire who sometimes sleeps in his car or a hotel because his wife is so troublesome. I know the wife very well. The man will not leave her because of the children. He said the woman will mess up their lives. I wept the last time I spoke to him.
Some of you reading this are being abused by your wives but you cannot cry out because of shame. You are dying little by little. Go and see a psychologist. Get Therapy. Get counseling. Confide in a friend that your woman is troubling you. Don’t die now. You may need to run for your life in order to survive.
Some of you reading this know that your mother was partly responsible for your father’s premature death.
A lot of men are developing prostate cancer because they have been starved of sex by their wives for a long time and the men do not want to commit adultery. Many have died in the process.
But let me ask you, of what use is a relationship that will cut your life short and allow the woman who cut your life short to enjoy all the fruits of your labor with another man whom she will be worshipping? Why should you not be there for your children and enjoy the fruits of your labor? If you die, you die for nothing.
Cry out and get the help that you need. There is no enjoyment in the grave. Once you are gone you are gone. When you cry out, you will live longer.
Today is Men’s Day in my writing and do not trouble me on domestic violence against women. I have written a lot about that over the years. So, rest!

BREAKING:
In Congo on Wednesday, while peaceful protesters called for the withdrawal of the East African Community Troops, & the UN Peacekeeping Mission (for their failure to bring peace in DRC), they were gunned down. Congolese were massacred in broad daylight by their own armed forces. 💔
While Civil Societies in DRC are reporting 100 deaths, the government is reporting 47 deaths. Army trucks were seen leaving the scene of the massacre with dead bodies.
Congolese now depend on one another for bravery & survival, their ruler was seen on Television boasting “he’ll crush dissenting voices in the most brutish of manner!”
At the heart of the camaraderie among Congolese, is the increasing spate both the minerals in DRC are being exploited by local & Foreign Powers, while Congolese Rights & Voices are being violated by the goverment.
Citizens no longer trust the East African Community to ensure peace in the Congo.
Congolese are surrounded by danger much closer to home. While terrorists harm them (local & foreign peacekeeping forces look away). To add salt to injury, the foreign powers in Congo seem to only observe while the Congolese are being harmed & violated by rebels & their very own government.
The Foreign Troops in Congo seem to be in cahoots with the Government of DRC.
People grew tired of the pervasive state sponsored crackdowns & violence, so they decided it was time to do something. The Congolese decided they have seen & had enough, so people began to protest.
The government in Congo (like every other autocrats in Africa) did the next unholy & brutally insane thing. They opened fire on peaceful protesters; they slaughtered their own citizens because they can. And when the sound of the guns died down, the army took the dead bodies away. 💔💔
There was a replica of the #EndSARS Lekki Tollgate Massacre in DRC. Black Lives don’t matter! it never mattered! it won’t matter! From Nigeria to Congo, all across Africa, the case is the same! Will Africans ever be free from the tyranny of their Autocratic Rulers?
What is wrong with “Black Pigmentation?”
What is wrong with the black men ‘ruling’ Africa? Why hate your own people so much? From Slavery to Colonialism, now Neocolonialism (at the invitation of African puppet rulers), Africa learned nothing!
Africans are still in bondage, & there is no end in sight!’ I won’t post the gory videos out of respect for massacred innocents. 🕊💔
