Developers are working on an open-source project called 'Xodus' that aims to let Xbox PC games run on Linux and MAC.

The project can already handle Xbox accounts, game downloads and licenses.

They've already made progress with Microsoft authentication and game downloads. Now the big hurdle is getting Xbox Gaming Runtime and other necessary services to work properly.

The team has already "figured out authorisation and game downloads", and they're now moving on to replicating GDK functionality, the framework used by these titles to handle integration with Xbox services like achievements, multiplayer, streaming and so on. Pawel told me that "we are still very much WIP... still relatively far from what we are trying to achieve."

PC Game Pass doen't work through Xodus yet, and the project is still in development.
