@sarahftyson@karenphysiocouk @logan_angie @CochraneStroke @saeboukglyn@WendyJuner@VPrakashPT People are still producing trials of weird stuff. So to comprehensively synthesise this we do need to acknowledge it. A later model/schema with only the effective stuff should get rid of it.....
@logan_angie @karenphysiocouk@sarahftyson @CochraneStroke @saeboukglyn I agree this would be great. It's beyond the scope of the Cochrane review we are currently updating; but @corbettadavide has just starting writing a protocol for an overview which could look at doing this....?
@karenphysiocouk @logan_angie @sarahftyson @CochraneStroke @saeboukglyn@WendyJuner@VPrakashPT What it is a "description of interventions potentially delivered as part of physical rehabilitation for stroke". But it's more than a description, as it shows how they might be delivered in combination....is it a "schema"?
@VPrakashPT @logan_angie @CochraneStroke We need to find a way to incorporate evidence relating to these interventions (because people are still testing them). Synthesising available evidence does not mean that the evidence shows effectiveness.
@rirish15272775 @logan_angie @CochraneStroke Unlike many other Cochrane reviews we have been involving stakeholders to help us decide how to bring evidence together. This model has been co-produced with key stakeholders to support our Cochrane review. Watch the full webinar to find out more https://t.co/Y62v146cUN
@sarahftyson @logan_angie @CochraneStroke @karenphysiocouk@saeboukglyn@WendyJuner@VPrakashPT This is a model designed to describe interventions delivered in trials, in order to support synthesis of evidence. This does NOT relate to existence of evidence, but rather to how to pull a wide variety of evidence together. Webinar explains more: https://t.co/Y62v146cUN
@Em_Garratt @logan_angie @CochraneStroke Feedback welcome. Contact details are available within the full webinar, which also explains the aim/context - https://t.co/Y62v146cUN
@WendyJuner@sarahftyson @logan_angie @CochraneStroke The full webinar is now available if you want to understand the background behind this and why it is being developed. If you have questions / feedback after watching the webinar please get in touch. https://t.co/Y62v146cUN
@logan_angie @CochraneStroke Thanks for sharing. To clarify – this is a model designed to describe interventions delivered in trials, in order to support synthesis of evidence. This model does NOT relate to existence of evidence, but rather to how a wide variety of evidence could be brought together sensibly
What an amazing PhD!
If I had my time again... 🤔
and great supervisors @AlexsPollock @Biddybach
Would love to know who had the wisdom to fund this studentship
A PhD relevant to @TheStrokeAssoc plans regarding PCPI in Stroke research - don’t you think @LauraJPiercy
@karadecorby@nealhaddaway@GlobalPPINet There's some more description of our approach in the recent NIHR co-production publication (no 2): https://t.co/IN7SJOoM27
@karadecorby@nealhaddaway@GlobalPPINet Stakeholders in our Cochrane review used consensus decision making based on nominal group technique - https://t.co/mSoCGM8GHg
