Recently, a tragic fire, primarily believed to have been caused by a gas stove in a shop, was falsely communalized with the claim that Hindu shops were burnt by Muslims.

However, we, @RumorScanner, investigated and confirmed that there is no communal angle to the incident. Out of the 73 affected shops, only 6 are owned by Hindus.

Yesterday, the President of the Madhaiya Bazaar Traders’ Association informed us that around 100 shops were burned down, of which only 5-6 belonged to Hindus. The claims being circulated are false and misleading propaganda.

Today, on behalf of the Madhaiya Bazaar Traders’ Association, an application was submitted seeking government assistance for the affected traders. We reviewed the application, which lists the names of 73 affected traders. Upon examination, it was found that only 6 of them are Hindus, while the rest are Muslims.
