We had a great talk from Lucy Ball at New Bridge Foundation about their befriending letter-writing services 📫(a great volunteer opportunity for our @SchoolofCJ students!) & the work they do on service evaluation with AU students via the Volunteer Research Assistant scheme👏🏼

Our final day of the event is underway with the @SchoolofCJ ! We heard from Azhar Laher this morning who delivered a passionate and inspiring talk on careers in policing, specifically for those from traditionally disadvantaged and marginalised groups. A thought-provoking talk💭

And last but not least, we had a brilliant talk from Ursula Oliver, one of our own @ArdenUniPsych alumni who is now an Assistant Educational Psychologist👏🏼 Ursula discussed routes into Educational Psychology and her experiences in this field to date!

We then had a talk from @Hadzy27 on pursuing a PhD and the differences between PhDs and doctorate courses - knowledge that can often be taken-for-granted when we talk to students about doctoral study! Don't worry if you missed it - we're sharing all recordings soon😊

We then had another great talk on the area of Occupational and Business Psychology from Bhavika Patel, who shared her personal journey to becoming a Senior Business Psychologist supporting neurodiverse individuals🧠. If you missed this, the recording will be shared soon!

Catching up on the wonderful @ArdenUniPsych day of talks yesterday, our afternoon included a great talk from Nina Parson, a Chartered Occupational Psychologist on her impressive and varied career journey in this field 👏🏼 If you missed this, the recording will be shared soon!

@JamesEBartlett delivered a great talk earlier on his experience of being a teaching-focused Psychology lecturer who has experience in both "traditional" face-to-face and distance learning settings 👨🏽‍🏫

@Becky_Randles just spoke to us about careers in research, both within and outside of academia! A great representation of what research-focused roles can look like, and some tips for students interested in these! 👏🏼

Courtney Hammond came along to tell us all about Forensic psychology , and to dispel some myths around what is ISN'T too! We're a little disappointed to hear it's not real-life "Criminal minds"😅 but still a super interesting career for our @ArdenUniPsych students to consider!

As expected, a very popular talk from Charlie Kane on Careers in Clinical Psychology! Our students asked lots of useful questions and got some great advice from Charlie, so you can catch up on the recording in a couple of weeks time if you missed this @ArdenUniPsych👩🏽‍💻

This afternoon, Hayley Whitaker joined us to talk about public speaking and advocacy skills. A really useful and candid talk about the fear of public speaking, how to overcome this and start to develop your public speaking skills 💬 A great one for all @Arden_Uni students!

Ameliah McLaren-Parker told us about her journey to becoming a qualified solicitor and working as a contentious probate solicitor - another insightful talk for our @ArdenUniLaw students! ⚖️

Lucy Cresswell just delivered an insightful talk on her experience of qualifying as a solicitor via the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination) route. Great advice for students on pursuing this pathway into qualification 👏🏼

It's our @ArdenUniLaw day! We just started our day with a talk from Kate Wilkinson Cross who gave a brilliant insight into the varied career trajectories for those in the Law field, sharing her experience of being a law academic ⚖️

We finished with a brilliant talk from @maram_ghellai, an @ArdenUniPsych graduate, who shared her professional development experience as an international student who aspires to support those from war-impacted and developing countries. Thank you for sharing your journey Maram👏🏼
